Short answers for a DIY build.

Can I buy a finished dome here?

No. This project does not sell domes or take orders. It is DIY + open source only — build with the guides yourself.

What skills and tools do I need?

Comfortable DIY woodworking: accurate cuts on a table saw and miter saw, careful measurement, and safe shop habits. The Hex guide names common saws in the steps.

Is this free?

The interactive guides and this website are open source on GitHub. Your materials, tools, and time are your cost.

How does this relate to commercial dome plans?

This is an independent open-source DIY tool. It is not a commercial plan shop and does not redistribute commercial plan PDFs. If your build requires a commercial plan license, obtain it from that vendor.

Where do I run the 3D guides?

Clone v3-dome-builder, run npx serve ., then open index.html (Hex fab) or assembly.html (assembly).

Can I contribute?

Yes. Open issues or pull requests on the website repo or the builder repo. See Open source.
